The Food Forest Sardegna project followed up on the creation of the first Sardinian national proprietary blockchain.

The Nation of Sardinia has officially acquired its own national blockchain in its National Financial Department (DFN), in collaboration with Food Forest Sardegna, a native body dedicated to territorial redevelopment and reurbanisation, which has developed a customised version of the Waves blockchain, transforming it to all intents and purposes into what has now become the Sardinian National Blockchain (BNS), initially Food Forest Sardegna blockchain. The entire process has made it possible to create the first national financial legal institution, based on blockchain, for the financial self-management and self-government of the nation, which already makes it possible for all natives and non-natives alike to benefit from an unparalleled possibility, being the first worldwide example of concrete monetary sovereignty freed from the obligation to use a bank. The Nation of Sardinia, officially having therefore created its own Sovereign National Currency (VNS), i.e. the national legal tender, directly on a proprietary blockchain circuit, benefits from the infrastructure created, thanks to its native FFT (also renamed Future Financial Technology).
